ADC Doorbell Camera Troubleshooting

If your Alarm.com Doorbell Camera is offline, not recording, or showing blinking LED lights, don’t worry — this page will walk you through the most important steps to get your camera back online, understand the light signals, and learn key recovery features.

Why Your Doorbell Camera May Be Offline

There are 3 main reasons your doorbell may be offline:

1. Loss of Power

  • Confirm the doorbell is powered.
  • To reboot, press and hold the button until it flashes blue, then release.
  • If the LED doesn’t flash, it may be a power supply issue.

2. Weak or Lost Wi-Fi Signal

  • Camera needs at least 2 Mbps upload speed and 90% signal strength.
  • Try restarting your router:
    • Unplug the router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Log into the Alarm.com app or website to check signal status under Video > Device Settings.

3. Changed Wi-Fi Network or Password

  • If you’ve changed internet providers, router names, or passwords, the camera must be re-added via Wi-Fi Access Point Mode.

How to Reconnect Your Doorbell Camera

Use the App to Re-add the Device:

  1. Delete the camera from your Alarm.com account
  2. Hold the button until it flashes yellow (~80 seconds) to factory reset

Re-add it from the app under “Doorbell Camera”
