The NVMS7000 app lets you stay connected to your security cameras from anywhere. This page explains how to use the app’s key features, from watching your live camera feed to saving video clips for evidence — all in simple steps anyone can follow.

What You Can Do with the NVMS7000 App

1. Watch Live Camera Feeds

What It Does:
Shows you what your cameras are seeing in real time — perfect for checking on your home, family, or deliveries.

How to Use It:

  1. Open the NVMS7000 app
  2. Tap Menu (☰) → Live View
  3. Select a device or camera to start viewing
  4. Tap a square to see 1, 4, or 8 cameras at a time

Helpful Tools While Viewing:

  • Tap the snapshot icon to save a picture
  • Tap the record icon to save a short clip
  •  Use the joystick icon to control pan/tilt (if your camera supports it)

Tap the HD icon to switch camera to HD resolution for better clarity

2. Play Back Saved Video

What It Does:
Let’s you rewind and review past footage, like checking for package deliveries or verifying when someone came home.

How to Use It:

  1. Tap Menu (☰) → Remote Playback
  2. Tap the camera icon (top right)
  3. Select your DVR and choose a date range
  4. Choose which camera(s) you want to review
  5. Tap Start Playback
  6. Scroll the timeline at the bottom to select a time

Did You Know?
The DVR records on motion detection — so you won’t waste time watching hours of still footage. Each video includes 5 seconds before and after the motion is detected.

3. Save a Video Clip

What It Does: Helps you save important video moments (like break-ins or package theft) directly to your phone.

How to Use It:

  1. While playing back a video, go to the exact spot you want to save
  2. Tap the scissors icon to start recording
  3. A red “R” will appear showing it’s recording
  4. Tap the scissors again to stop
  5. Open Menu → Picture & Video to find your clip

Tap the clip, then the download icon (bottom left) to save it to your device

4. Take Snapshots

What It Does:
Allows you to take still images from live or recorded footage.

How to Use It:

  • While watching video, tap the camera icon
  • Images are saved in the Picture & Video section
  • You can save or share them easily

Quick User Tips

  • HD Quality: For best results, switch each camera to HD mode by selecting “Clear” from the resolution menu
  • Time Format: Playback uses military time (24-hour clock)
  • Storage: Your DVR holds 2–3 months of video depending on camera count — older videos are automatically erased as needed

Save Early: Always download important clips before they’re overwritten!
