Arming & Disarming the System
This is the most basic — and most important — function you’ll use every day.
Arming in Stay Mode (When You’re Home)
Use this when you’re inside the home but still want the outside protected (like at night).
Steps:
- Tap the “Arm Stay” icon on the home screen.
- If required, enter your 4-digit user code.
- The system begins a short countdown (15–60 seconds).
- When complete, it says “Armed Stay” and lights will change to reflect system status.
What Happens:
- Door/window sensors are active.
- Interior motion detectors are off, so you can walk around.
- Perfect for bedtime or working from home.
Arming in Away Mode (When You Leave)
Use this when no one is home. It activates all sensors, including motion detectors.
Steps:
- Tap the “Arm Away” icon.
- Enter your code, or use Facial Recognition if enabled.
- You’ll hear a voice prompt and see a countdown timer.
- Leave the home during this time — through an entry/exit door.
What Happens:
- Every sensor is armed.
- Motion detectors are ON — movement will trigger alarms.
- Great for errands, school pickups, or vacations.
Disarming the System (When You Return)
Option 1: Use the Touchscreen
- Tap the “Disarm” button.
- Enter your personal user code.
Option 2: Use Facial Recognition
- Walk up to the panel.
- Your face is scanned automatically.
- If recognized, it will disarm immediately and show “Welcome back.”
- Facial recognition is fast, secure, and entirely local (nothing goes online).
If Disarming Fails:
- Try again or use your backup code.
- Check for lighting or camera obstructions.
Setting Up & Using Facial Recognition
This feature makes disarming seamless — no codes, no fuss.
How to Set Up Your Face:
- Tap the gear icon (Settings).
- Enter the master user code.
- Tap Users > select your profile.
- Tap Add Facial Recognition.
- Look directly at the screen. Follow prompts to center your face.
Tips for Success:
- Stand about 2–3 feet from the panel.
- Avoid backlighting (like bright windows).
- Remove hats or sunglasses for initial setup.
You can enable facial recognition for other users too — kids, spouse, caregivers, etc.
Using Emergency Buttons
There are three built-in emergency buttons that send help fast.
To Access:
- Tap the red “Emergency” button (lower right corner of the Home screen).
- Choose one of three options:
- Police (Panic)
- Fire
- Medical
To Activate:
- Press and hold the button for 2 seconds.
Some alarms are silent (panic), depending on your dealer’s setup.
Reading Alerts, Alms ar& Messages
The top of your screen has a bell icon. It notifies you when something needs your attention.
Types of Notifications:
- Alarms (red): A door opened while armed, motion detected, etc.
- Alerts (orange): Power outages, low battery, tamper warnings.
- Messages (blue): Information from your alarm provider or updates.
To Read:
- Tap the bell icon.
- Choose the tab: Alerts, Alarms, Messages.
- Tap any item to open it.
Private Messages will ask for your master code before viewing.
Keep an eye on alerts — they help catch low batteries or tampered devices before they become a problem.
Adding Users & Custom Access Codes
You can create separate codes for:
- Family members
- Babysitters or cleaners
- Guests or temporary users
To Add a New User:
- Tap the Settings gear icon.
- Enter the master code.
- Tap Users > Add New User.
- Enter the name and 4-digit code.
- Choose access level (normal or restricted).
- (Optional) Enable Facial Recognition for that user.
To Remove a User:
- Select their profile and tap Delete User.
You can delete guest codes anytime for added safety.
