Whether you’re waking up, leaving the house, returning home, having dinner, or going to bed, create custom automation Scenes to seamlessly perform multiple actions for multiple devices at once. Just set up your preferences, then simply tap a button or use a voice command for easy, whole-home control. Enjoy instant security, convenience, and comfort anytime with:

  • A wake-up Scene to disarm your panel, turn on the kitchen lights, and raise the living room shades
  • A dinnertime Scene that seamlessly dims the lights, lowers the shades, and starts a playlist
  • A goodnight Scene that arms your security system, closes shades, turns off the lights, locks all entrances, and adjusts the thermostat
  • An Away Scene to close the garage, lock all the doors, arm your panel, and set the thermostat to save energy so you can leave without a worry
Alarm.com Scenes

Scenes allow users to configure a single button that triggers multiple actions across devices. These can be managed via the Alarm.com app or customer website and are available for both residential and commercial interactive service packages.

Default Scenes

  • Residential Accounts:
    • Home
    • Away
    • Sleep
    • Wake Up
  • Commercial Accounts:
    • Open
    • Close

Default scenes are pre-configured and cannot be deleted or renamed.

Custom Scenes

Users can create custom scenes tailored to their preferences. Refer to Create/edit a Scene for instructions.

Rearranging Scenes

On the Alarm.com App
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Scenes.
  3. Use the reorder icon and drag scenes into the desired order.
  4. Tap Done to save changes.
On the Customer Website
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Automation > Scenes.
  3. Click Reorder and arrange scenes by dragging.
  4. Click Save to finalize the arrangement.

Each user’s login can have a unique scene order.
